Did You Score Some Deals On Black Friday??

How did you do on Black Friday shopping? Did you score any great deals? My shopping trip was kind of short and sweet this year, as I was pretty tired from Thanksgiving! Normally I go out to Kohl's, but I didn't this year. There was nothing that I really needed there, and my feet weren't up to all of that standing in line inside, and out. I did go to Walmart to pick up a few things, and I wasn't planning on going there after the foolishness that I put up with last year.  I did give it another chance though, and things seemed to be in pretty good order there, with police officers around the store inside and out.

Once it turned 8 p.m. people went nuts, and it seemed to be towards the big items. All I wanted to get was a Vacuum, and this real soft Velour Blanket & a pillow, which I got, and went right up to the register, and paid for. I was quick, I knew what I wanted, and ten I was on my way home. My friend who was shopping at Toys R Us had been standing for hours out in the cold, so she could score some great deals on toys for her grand kids. They also ave the first 250 people in line a free bag of toys valued up to $30 which was sweet of them. She wanted me to drive and meet her for the midnight sales, but my body was up for it this year. I also scored some great deals at Bath & Body with their buy 3, get 3 deal, and with a $40 purchase, I was able to purchase their 2012 VIP Bag, which had over $100 in items inside. Now that was a great deal. You could also stack coupons towards your purchase, like $10 off $30.

What did you happen to score on Black Friday that was a great deal? I know that T.V.'s were on sale like crazy. I saw 32" Televisions on safe for $97 and up. I paid hundreds for mine years ago, so now the price drops down.Did you get and good deals on toys for the kiddos, or  grand kids? I hope you had a blast shopping, and now you are all rested up. I know how very tiring this can be on ones body. I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner. It's actually pretty scary when you think of it. Are you going anywhere different this Christmas? I'm not. I'm celebrating with my parents and family. My mom is sick, so I'm hoping that this Christmas is an enjoyable one with her. Here is something to try to get you into the Christmas spirit. If you love the Gangnam Style dance by PSY, then click here.

Happy Thanksgiving Day !!!

Wishing all of my family & friends a wonderful Thanksgiving today! I can't believe that this day has arrived. Where on earth has this year gone? This year has passed by it seems like in a flash. Where will you be spending Thanksgiving? I will be with my family like always. All of my desserts have been baked. Apple Pie , Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Creme Pie & Pumpkin Roll. I couldn't resist the Apple Pie last night as I took it out of the oven. The aroma in the house was very pleasing, so I cut right into it, and it was scrumptious as ever with some vanilla ice cream on top. Yum Yum!!

What are you thankful for today? I'm so thankful for my family, my son, and all of my wonderful friends. I'm also thankful for each and every day the good lord gives me with my mom who is ill, I'm thankful for all of our troops that fight to protect this country we live in, I'm thankful for all who have helped out to aid Sandy victims, I'm thankful for Jimmy Kimmel for making me laugh my butt off each weekday night, I'm thankful for Dr. Phil for keeping it real, I'm very thankful for Melissa Rycroft Strickland & the marvelous Tony Dovolani for making it to the finals on DWTS, also thankful for the cortisone that helped Tony dance to get there, and lastly, I'm thankful for my bathroom scale that does NOT work anymore!! I hope you all have a terrific Thanksgiving with your family, and friends! If your going out Black Friday shopping be careful of all the crazies who like to rampage stores for the discount items. It's not worth hurting an innocent person due to greed!

Have A Blessed Day,

Will You Be Going Shopping On Black Friday ?

Can you believe that the most busiest days in store around the world is almost here? Will you be going out shopping  and fighting the crowds to get some steals and deals? I have been going out shopping the last few years with my sister, and a good friend. Last year was so pumped up after Thanksgiving Dinner, that I came home for awhile to rest, but I was unable to do so, so I jumped in the car & headed to Walmart. I was going to stand in line, and wait for a great deal on a 42" television, which I bought and love it so much. Just thought I'd share a photo with you below, to show you what you might be getting into, should you go out shopping.

Is this what you really want to get yourself into on Black Friday? I love the thrill of it, and the adrenaline rush that you get.  I went to Walmart last year for a phone at midnight, and when they removed the cover from the stand, I got trampled on. You would have thought they were giving out money or something.People were grabbing as many as they could. It was freaking nuts!! I will not put myself into that situation this year. I got hurt over a phone. This season my list is very slim on what I will be looking for.

I will definitely be going to Bath & Body to get my hands on some great deals, and I will be looking for a Tommy Tom for a gift. Does anyone know where I could find a deal on one? If you go shopping, please be careful if your by yourself. The crazies are out looking for victims this time of year. Please be courteous  of others too. If you happen to bump into someone with  carriage, a sorry would be the proper thing to do, and no fighting or stealing in the stores. I do not want to witness that at all. If your standing in line for a computer or T.V., bring a snack with you . Remember that patience goes a long way. Be courteous to the store workers also. This is a hectic time to be working for them, so be nice. Have fun & e safe!! I'd love to hear your stories from Black Friday.

Have You Started Christmas Shopping Yet?

Evangers Pet Food Review

Until recently, I had never heard of Evanger's Pet food before. The fine folks at Evanger's , located in Wheeling, IL., were kind enough to let me review their Cat Food on my blog. I was sent the Grain Free Meat Lovers Medley with Rabbit Dry Food & several different cans of wet food. I also received some coupons  and a great calendar. I have always stuck with the same pet food for my cats, so this was going to be the first time that I had tried anything new with them. I have one cat that is very picky at what I feed her also, so I'm a bit leary on how she will accept a new food.

Evanger's came to life in 1935, when Fred  Evanger was making pure meat canned foods at his kennels because he felt that his champion Great Danes required superior nutrition in order to to prevent any dietary deficiencies. In 2002,hand packed wet food was developed for Fred's dog Yukon. Yukon had always liked what his owner's were eating, so they decided to pack steak in a can, and cook it, and Yukon fell in love with it. Evanger's has been proudly owned for 75+ years, and is sold in pet shops all over the world. The quality of the food is the utmost importance, along with customer service.

My cat loved the wet cat food in the can, especially the Organic Turkey & Butternut Squash Dinner, As I opened the can, I was thinking how much I like turkey & squash on Thanksgiving, so why wouldn't my cat?? She didn't waste no time in chowing down on it either. The ingredients are organic, and good for all aged cats. Evanger's carry a line of Grain Free game meats which are 100% meat, and come in 6 oz & 13 oz pop top cans, depending on how much you feed your cats each day.
Evanger's  developed the Signature Series featuring Cuts in Gravy to celebrate 75 years of manufacturing quality pet food. The ingredients that were avoided were  meat by-products, wheat gluten, blood plasma, grains, and binding agents. There are no artificial colors or preservatives in the food either. Evanger's also carries an all natural line of pet treats for your dog and cat. They range from Buffalo, Pheasant, to Chicken & Venison. What animal wouldn't love these scrumptious tasting treats?

Evanger's  can be purchased at over 5,000 retailers in the U.S. & Canada. You can find a store close to you by clicking here. You can also find a list of the events happening in your area here. If your looking into trying something new & healthy for your cat or dog, than you have found the right place with Evanger's. My cat's were thrilled with the  Grain Free Meat Lover's Medley With Rabbit Food. I thought the color might have thrown them off a bit, as this is a much darker color, but that was not so. They dove right into it the medley of delicious meats, fruits & vegetables. This formula contains probiotics to support healthy immune and digestive systems, as well as flax seed and omegas 3 and 6 for healthy joint, skin, and coat, for all breeds and all life stages.
Thanks to the folks at Evanger's for giving me the chance to review such fine pet food for my cat's. My cat's were delightfully happy with the new line of food that I introduced them to. I'm happy to say that I would highly recommend Evanger's to anyone with cat's or dog's. If you want your animals to eat healthy tasting morsels, then you have found that with Evanger's. The prices are very reasonable too. Feel free to follow Evanger's on FB and follow on Twitter. Have you ever tried Evanger's before, and if so, I'd love to hear what your thoughts are about their pet food. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Cheers,

I'm Bummed About Superpoints

I just found out as I went to click on Superpoints to do my clicks for the day, that Superpoints has come to a close. I couldn't believe it, as this site was one of my favorites. I must say that I'm a bit bummed about this. I have been saving all of my Superpoints, and was hoping to use them for the holidays since things get pretty tough this time of year. I had thousands of these saved up. I was just on the site yesterday, and knew nothing of this coming at all. Had I known it was coming, I might have used them up, or at least some of them. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this today. The message said something about Superpoints, LLC, taking back over management.

The message stated that they will try to fulfill any prior orders before the announcement came out, and they would be happy to answer any new emails, but would not be able to answer the old ones. How do you feel about this? I'm sure I'm not the only one with Superpoints saved up. I wish they could have handled this a bit different, and not leave people hanging, but I'm sure it's about the $$$. I was just on this site yesterday afternoon doing my spins. I hope that Superpoints decides to maybe change things up a bit, and come back. I absolutely love this site, and the ways you can redeem points.

As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end". What are your feelings about Superpoints closing? Are you as sad as I am? Did you have a bunch of points saved up for Christmas like I did? Let me know what your thinking about this. I love hearing every ones thoughts. I pray to god that nothing happens to Swagbucks. Since Superpoints has come to an end, I think that whatever was left over in ones account should be donated to Red Cross for relief of Hurricane Sandy. That's just my opinion. Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed day! :)

Today Is The Day.. Get Out And Vote!!

I can't believe this day has finally come. It seems like the constant bickering, bad campaign ads, not so great debates on television, phone calls & constant junk mail is finally coming to an end!! Thank god is all I have to say!! I went to bed last night feeling good about today. Today I will go out and vote for the person that I think would better run this country, the person that I feel like I could trust, the person that doesn't beat around the bush, the person that will give this country his all! This has been one of the toughest campaigns that I , and millions of others have had to watch day after day for the last year or more. The nonsense, the name calling between all parties including Senators, Congressmen , and Presidential Candidates has been truly atrocious! I have never in my life as long as I can remember, ever seen election campaigns like this.

One that really stuck out for me is between Congressman Chris Murphy & Linda Mc Mahon, who wants to oust Chris from his seat. These two have been attacking each other for months, and have been down and dirty. I don't even feel the need to vote for either of them. Linda Mc Mahon is not a person that I feel like I could trust at all, and I'm not happy with her opponent Chris Murphy either.

If your one of those who haven't made your mind up on who your voting for, keep these facts in mind between President Obama & Mitt Romney :

What President Obama has done:

~Inherited a economic mess, then with the help of congress (they did do something in the last 4 years) got the economy out of free fall and stabilized.

~Brought our troops home from Iraq

~Raised fuel economy standards so that we are less reliant on oil from the people who don't like us.

~Unlike Iraq, worked with our European allies to form a coalition for a

    no-fly zone in Libya

~Hastened the fall of Ghadaffi, without any US troops on the ground and no one troop lost.

~Influenced the fall of Mubarak, without making enemies with the Egyptian opposition.

~Made the call to kill the Somali pirates holding a US hostage, remember?

~Bringing health care to uninsured American who otherwise go to the emergency room and continue to drive up health care costs (we are paying for these people one why or another)

~Tried to work with a do nothing Congress lead by Mitch McConnell, John Boehner and Eric Cantor and tea party ideology.

~ Oh yah, made the call to kill Osama bin Laden and dump his body into the sea.

  Romney supporters:

~Romney has changed his position every other week.

~Romney has not released his tax returns.

~Romney hides money in 9 different offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes on it.

~Romney has clearly stated behind closed doors that half the country is lazy moochers.

~Romney has written off nearly 50% of the country as "victims."

~Romney headed Bain, who FIRED American workers and sent jobs overseas, so he
   could profit by millions!

~Romney has LIED throughout his campaign.

~ Romney has Flip Flopped continuously throughout the campaign.

~Romney has not provided any specific details of his policies and 5 trillion $ tax plan.

~ Romney has stated he would CUT the affordable health care act on day one.

~Romney has stated he would DEFUND Planned Parenthood.

~Romney has endorsed the Murdoch, who stated that pregnancy from rape is God's will.

~Romney did not endorse the Lilly Lead better act for equal pay for women.

~ Romney said nothing when Limbaugh called Sandra f,u,c,k a SL**T on national airwaves.

~Romney wanted the Auto Industry to FAIL and said "Let em' go bankrupt."

~Romney stated that we should not stop foreclosures, but let Americans default.

~Romney has stated that he would not let the Bush tax cuts expire for the super wealthy.

~Romney did not ONCE acknowledge or even mention our veterans at his convention.

~ Romney is hiding the details of this tax policies until AFTER the election.

~Romney's math just simply does NOT add up, according to Economists.

~Romney is another out of touch, rich guy who thinks he's "entitled" to Presidency,
   because of his wealth.

~Romney works for only the wealthy and cares nothing about struggling middle-class Americans.
Romney is bad for the country.

Today is the day to move Forward!! Today is the day that I will vote to reelect Barack Obama !! I will put my faith in him for another four years. He inherited quite the mess from The Busch Administration, and tried to do his best. I will give him another chance to straighten this country out, to get the spending under control, to get millions of American's their jobs back, or find new ones, and to improve the Health care system. Millions of American's  who worked all their life have no insurance, and can't afford to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy their prescriptions to keep them alive, yet some who don't work can get it for free?? Something has to change with this.

Whatever choice you make today is an important one. Get out to vote. Don't have that attitude as some do about voting. Remember 8 years ago with Busch & Al Gore, when we didn't have a President Elect for it seemed like ever. I had never in my life seen a race so close. I still say the country would have done much better with Al Gore as President.  May the best man win today! Good Luck to all who are running, and God Bless America!!

DWTS Week 6 .. Country Dancing

Week six has come and gone and it was a tough one for many. This week was country dancing, and due to Hurricane Sandy, I wasn't able to watch the whole show. I got to see clips on You Tube, and the following night I was able to see the dances as they were shown again. I was so sad that I wasn't able to watch Sabrina & Louis and Karina & Apolo get a perfect score. I couldn't believe how well all of the couples danced last week. They were simply amazing. They were all on their game. Kirstie & Max received their highest scores yet, while Kelly & Val were on the bottom of the leaderboard.
Shawn & Derek danced to the Cha Cha even with injuries affecting them both. Shawn's knee was hurt , and Derek had a bulging disc in his neck. I must say that Derek Hough is one fine looking cowboy. I just love him so much. Not a thing stops him week after week. He is by far one of the shows best dancers of all time. They ended getting a 28 for the week, and were safe from being eliminated last week. Mark Balas will be filling in for Derek this week, so he can rest his neck per Dr.'s orders. Shawn must be thrilled to dance with her former partner again, and a bit nervous not knowing the outcome  of Derek's injury. I have had neck surgery due to the same injury, and it's not a piece of cake. Feel better soon Derek!
Nothing will stop Melissa Rycroft when it comes to dancing. She has had previous injuries being on DWTS the last time, and with her neck injury just a few weeks ago, I'm sure she was scared to dance, but she did it, and from what I read she did well.As bummed out as I was not being able to watch my favorite couple Tony & Melissa dance the Viennese Waltz due to power outage thanks to Sandy, I was thanking my lucky stars that we escaped the worst. When I watched their dance on You Tube, I couldn't believe how well Melissa danced. She was flawless & simply outstanding. Her lines were exquisite. She received two 10's from Len & Bruno, and a 9.5 from Carrie Ann, which I believe she got ripped off, and should have got a ten to make it a perfect score.

The judges have been real tough this year with scoring, and I absolutely hate the half point system. Karina & Apollo and Sabrina & Louis scored a perfect 30. Karina & Apollo danced a Viennese Waltz, and Sabrina and Louis danced the Rumba. Sabrina put all of her heart and soul into this dance, as it was very personal to her, and it showed 100%. It was breath taking to watch. They were finally on top of their game. Apollo & Karina danced amazingly beautiful together. After their little squabble last week, they worked their butts off, and came back so strong this week, This was the Apollo that I knew and loved when he danced with Julianne Hough. He was finally back on top. Karina knows what it's like to win, and I can tell that she is wanting #2 trophy. They both have what it takes to make it to the finale. Kirstie and Max kept me wanting to see more dancing. They danced to a sexy Rumba and when I say sexy, I mean it. I was wondering if they would be safe for yet another week, and that they were.

Let me just tell everyone how very much important it is to vote. Last week on DWTS, one of the front runners in the competition was sent home. Sabrina Bryan & Louis Van Amstel(whom I Adore), scored a perfect 30 to their Rumba, and were in the bottom two with Melissa & Tony. My stomach was sick. I had this gut feeling that a front runner would be sent home this week, and indeed that is what happened. After almost having heart failure watching Melissa & Tony be in the bottom two, and possibly be eliminated, in the end they were safe. Melissa & Tony were over the moon with joy, but also heart broken to see such a good dancer be eliminated. Sabrina danced many seasons ago, and was eliminated in week 6 then also, only to have the same thing happen again. This should NOT have happened. That girl is one talented dancer. I expected her to make it right up to the finale for sure. It was so painful to see the hurt that she felt after being eliminated. Something has to change with the system that DWTS has. For someone like Bristol Palin to make it to the finale, and for someone such as Sabrina who could have won this competition, to be sent home is purely wrong. Maybe they should have a save like American Idol. All I know is how upsetting it was to see this happen to them both.

If your a fan of the show and have a favorite couple, then pick up the phone and vote. It don't take long to do it but a few seconds. Don't just assume that your favorite dancer is safe. That does not mean a thing. It didn't for Sabrina & Louis. At least they left the competition on top , verses the bottom. The two couples with the lowest score were safe, and the one with the highest was sent home. Sounds fair right? There are a few ways to vote like online at DWTS, FB & the phone. Please do this if you have a favorite. You can also do it if it's your families favorite couple also. I have seen enough devastation on DWTS due to people being sent home early, and it does not feel right at all. It's a huge void. I just can't wait to see Louis & Sabrina come back for the finale.

Lastly, I'd like to keep all of the victims from Hurricane Sandy who lost their houses, and those who lost their lives due to this catastrophic event in my prayers. I was very lucky to escape the worst, but others weren't. I will keep you all in my prayers, and I will do whatever I can to help you out in your time of need. Red Cross is accepting blood donations, and or cash donation,or whatever you would like to donate. These people lost everything, and have nothing, so every little penny counts. DO what you can to help out, and tell your family the same. I can't imagine how hard it must be to have lost a home, or a loved one from Sandy. Know that better days are ahead, and we stand united. You will get through this, and be even stronger than before. We are one tough country, and we stand together when needed. Thanks to President Obama, and all of the hardworking Governor's & State Senators for all of their hard work, Also a big shout out to the public utilities for working around the clock to get all the millions of people their power back. Only a selfless person could do your job. Know that all of your work is appreciated! God Bless everyone & their families. Keep safe & stay strong! We will beat this!

Cheers.
