Fiber One-Help Take The Dieting Out Of Hunger Review & Giveaway

Eating properly is not on the top of my priority list these days. The consequences that come along with it are not so fun either such as fatigue, headaches and more, which can be prevented with having fiber in your diet. When I was given the opportunity to review Fiber One Cereal from My Blog Spark & General Mills I jumped on it. I have decided that not eating healthy and being tired all the time wasn't for me anymore.

Included in my package was a box of Fiber One Bran Cereal, a deluxe diet scale, an aluminum water bottle, a fit & fresh storage container, which had a container for milk, an ice ring to keep it cold and a note pad so you can keep track of your daily intake .The deluxe scale includes a measuring cup so if you are watching your diet, this will come in handy.

I must say that at first when I tried the cereal I thought that it wasn't the best taste that I had ever tasted, but I put some blueberries in it, and a tad bit of sugar , and it sweetened it up a bit. I must say that throughout the day, I didn't feel hungry, and seemed to have more energy than usual, which was great for me.

Fiber One has many great benefits including Weight Management, Digestive Health, Heart Health , Diabetes Health and many more. I , myself love the feeling of having more energy each day. Fiber One also carries other great products such as granola bars, yogurt, cottage cheese, baking products, bread and toaster pastries. I love their bread, as it gives you 20% of the daily value of fiber per serving. It also makes up some mighty fine grilled cheese sandwiches.

Charm Factory Bracelet Review & Giveaway

The wonderful people over at Charm Factory have given me the chance to review one of their products, and also give one to one of my readers. Sounds great right?? I have been eyeing their jewelry for along time now, so I was thrilled to be doing this review. I picked the Silver Heart Bracelet.

The reason that I picked this bracelet is because I love anything with hearts, and I fell in love with this Silver Heart Bracelet. This bracelet measure about 6 inches in length, is made of .925 sterling silver , and retails for $24.99. The bracelet is very lightweight, and this is a huge plus for me! I plan on adding many more charms to my bracelet, as there are many of them I want. I would love to own a Pewter Awareness Ribbon Charm , and the Pewter Believe Oval Charm.

The breast cancer awareness charm is my favorite by far. Being that it is Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, this charm would look lovely on my bracelet, along with a few others. There is a huge selection of charms at Charm Factory. Charm Factory carries heart lockets, which I have always wanted one.

This Charm Factory Emerald Bracelet with Crystal Hearts is on my want list too. I absolutely love the colors, and I like the shape of the hearts too, and again, it's lightweight, so you can barely feel it on. Which Charm Factory Bracelet do you like, and tell me why

Stressed Out And No Where To Hide

First of all I need to apologize for not writing about DWTS last week. About 10 minutes before show time, which I was very much looking forward to, I received the Phone call that no mother or father wants to hear! My Son was in a very bad car accident with two other vehicles. I can't tell how how thankful I am, and how lucky he is to be alive. He was hit by a drunk driver, who also hit his friend first in another vehicle, then plowed into my son head on in his Jeep Cherokee. For the speed in the accident, and being hit head on, my son's Jeep, even though totaled held up good, and having an airbag in place is what saved his live. I swear by Jeep Cherokee's, and think when I have the $$, that is what he will drive next.

The stress from all of this has been unbearable to me and his father. I'm recovering from back surgery, so the stress has caused me pain like you wholdn't imagine, and to top it off, my computer is slowly dying, and hard to use anymore. I'm hoping I'll cheer up a bit tonight as I watch DWTS. Who do you think will do good tonight? I'm hoping Tony & Audrina grab some 10's, and hoping that Bristol leaves the show tomorrow. Mrs. Brady should have not left before her. Thanks for listening to me ramble on, and the kids involved in the accident are doing fairly well considering the circumstances. Keep an eye out for some great giveaways I have coming up too. You won't want to miss them!! Link up your giveaways here @Sarafan2 if you'd like. The linky is on the post before this one. Thanks.

Frito Lay Review & Giveaway

I would like to Thank Madeline and the great people at Frito Lay for giving me the chance to try your products, and for giving one of my loyal readers the chance too.Inside this great reusable red Frito Lay bag was lots of goodies that I was so happy to see.

I received a big bag of Original Sun Chips, (with proceeds being donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation), a bag of Tostitos Scoops, a bag of lightly salted Lay's Chips, a stainless steel Frito's Lay bottle for on the go occasions, or you could even bring it with you to work. I like the idea that it comes with a clip, so I can clip it on to my bike when I'm riding. I also received a coupon good for any Frito Lay product at the store! I know that will come in handy!

.
I have been a huge fan of Frito Lay products for many many years now. Frito Lay Scoops are one of my all time favorites, and another favorite is BBQ Frito's. I could eat them all day long. My sons favorite is the Lay's Chips and the Tostitos Scoops. I have a special bean dip that I make to eat with the chips. I haven't made it yet, but will give the recipe for it. It's very simple too!
It consists of 1 package of cream cheese layered on the bottom of the dish, 1 can or Hormel chili with beans layered over the cream cheese, and a bag of monetary jack sprinkled all over the chili. Pop this in the oven @ 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes, or when the cheese is lightly browned, and it's done. You won't be able to eat this fast enough. Trust me on this one!

I'm sitting here chowing on Original Sun Chips as we speak. These are very light to eat, and are tasty too. They are not too high in sale either, or I wouldn't be able to eat them due to blood pressure issues. As much as I love to eat chips and Frito's, they don't last long in my house with my son.If I have a bag of scoops and some onion dip, he will be in heaven. If you purchase the Sun Chips with the Susan G. Komen stamp on the bag, some of the proceeds will go towards breast cancer research, and as you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so get your mammogram done if age appropriate, and do your monthly self checks. Knowledge is power!!

Frito's was discovered in 1932, by a gentleman named C.E.Doolin. Years later the business merged in 1961, and the Frito Lay Company & H.W. Lay Company merged to become Frito Lay Inc. Today 59% of the snack chip industry is Frito Lay. Today there are over 45,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada who are making and selling these products worldwide.

Here are some important facts I thought you'd like to know about Frito Lay :

All products are farm fresh grown ingredients, with many of the chips made with three simple ingredients:potatoes or corn, all natural oils and salt.

First company to remove partially hydrogenated oils from cooking oil back in 2003. This means the chips have 0 grams trans fat.

Many of the chips provide whole grains such as Tostitos, and the Sun Chips are a great source of fiber.

Frito-Lay supports American farmers, by purchasing potatoes from 80+ farms across 27 states. This would make my dad happy because he has farmed all of his life.

The generous folks at Frito Lay are giving one of my readers a chance to win this great prize package including a reusable bag, a sweet Frito Lay water bottle, a Frito Lay clip to keep the bag closed, 3 big bags of chips, and a coupon for a bag of chips at the store of choice. Sounds sweet doesn't it? If you have kids, then this would be the giveaway for you to enter. Frito Lay products can be purchased in just about any grocery store, and convenience stores across the U.S.

Mandatory entry to enter!! Tell me which Frito Lay product you love, and how often you eat them? (Must do, or all entries will not count)

Dancing With The Stars Week 4

Week 4 has come and gone already. I'm a bit late posting this week, so I apologize for this. Back in the number one spot this week are Derek Hough & Jennifer Grey.Derek & Jennifer danced to the Argentine Tango, and was the first couple on the show to receive a ten from the judges. They ended up with a total score of 29. Crabby old Len didn't feel like taking his ten paddle out.

Derek & Jennifer have danced amazing each week so far. I guess the dancing experience is paying off for her. I don't know how Derek manages to get such great partners each season, but he does. The last seven seasons or so, he has had a talented partner, and ended up grabbing the mirror ball with Shawn Johnson & Kristi Yamagucci. Let's see if Tony & Audrina take back the top spot after week 5. I sure hope so.

Did you see Corky & Florence dance to the Rumba this week? OMG, they were Rumbalicious!! Florence is one heck of a graceful & energetic dancer for her age. For 76 years old, she can move those hips and legs. I didn't think that they would be around this long, but I'm glad for them. I'm glad to actually see Corky stay around for awhile. The way Florence moved across the dance floor was amazing. She is alot older than me, and I couldn't even dance like that, so Kudos to Florence for dancing so well, and Corky for being the great teacher he is. I sure would like to see them do the Jive or Quick Step. I love seeing the dancers do those fast step dances. Plan on seeing Florence & Corky for at least another week or so.

Karina & "The Situation" danced to the Tango, and while the judges gave them low scores, which he was a bit upset with, he exited the show gracefully. I thought he actually gave it his all. I can tell that he was putting everything into this competition, and wanted to be there. I would have liked to see him and Karina stick around awhile longer, to see what he might bring to the dance floor. I never really watched his show Jersey Shore, as I didn't care for it at all, but he brought fun to the show, and some good laughs for the audience. If anyone should have gone home, I think it should have been Bristol & Mark. She just doesn't seem to have the rhythm when she is dancing at all, nor does she have any facial expression.

Week 5 is tomorrow night, and I can't wait to see my favorite show DWTS. I'd like to see Kurt Warner bring his game to the dance floor tomorrow night with Anna. He started out very well on the show and appeared he very well could be a front runner. Let's see what Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke bring to the dance floor also. Rick dances pretty well with Cheryl, but he's so much taller than her, so this might be tough for him. Cheryl is a pro, and a teacher who doesn't take no for an answer. She wants to be in the finals. I can't wait to see Kyle & Lacey dance tomorrow. I thought they got robbed last week with their scores. Kyle dances each week with such grace and enthusiasm that he makes the audience want to see him come back for more. I still can't get used to Lacy being blonde. I like her much better with darker hair.Whatever color Lacy has, she still is a very good dancer and is having a heck of a time with Kyle.

AT this point it's pretty clear that Derek & Jennifer will be in the finals. Didn't the same thing happen last year with Nicole Sherzinger? The answer is YES! I didn't even want to watch the show last season as I knew who would be winning. I also would like to see Tony & Audrina, and Maks & Brandy, and of course Kurt and Anna! Anna almost grabbed that mirror ball last year. She and her partner Evan Lysacek danced great together. I'm so happy for Tony, as he has a great dancing partner this year, and he is hearing good vibes from people, and not negative vibes like last year with Kate Gosselin. Tony & Maks are also best friends, so this would be awesome for the both of them to make it to the finals, and it's o.k. with me if they want to dance with their shirts off. lol. Enjoy the show today, and I'll be back after Tuesday to give my thoughts on the show again. Who would you like to see win Dancing With The Stars season 11? Let me know with a comment below. Thanks.

Until next time,

Bryton Pick Review

I recently received the unique looking Bryton Pick to review. I have never used anything to floss my teeth besides floss, so this was neat looking to me, and convenient to carry .The Bryton Picks come in a handy little package about the size of a credit card, and can conveniently fit right in your purse or wallet for on the go. Have you ever been in a situation where you wished you Had a tooth pick or floss to get your teeth clean? I know I have, so the Bryton Pick would come in handy for those matters, and they are reusable for thirty days.

According to the ADA statistics show that only 12% of the population flosses regularly, mainly because floss isn't easy or convenient to use. I can tell you the importance of flossing, and how you should do this daily, 2 times a day preferably, well at least that is what my dentist tells me. I only wished I would have had proper dental treatment in my earlier years, and listened to my mother about taking care of my teeth, because once you develop problems with your gums and teeth, they are harder to fix, where as if you used proper care, including proper brushing, flossing, and having your teeth cleaned 2 x a year, along with xrays, you will be very happy you did verses letting it go, and not caring. Trust me! I know all too well about this.

Bryton Picks can be pursed online @ BrytonPick.com , and can also be purchased at your local CVS, Walgreens, A& P Supermarket, Kinnery Drugs, Amazon.com, and more. They come in a variety of colors too. What I liked about the Bryton Pick was it's unique shape, and convenient pouch it comes in. I also liked that it looks more attractive than a toothpick, or floss, and when I was using mine on my back teeth, it didn't get stuck to any of my teeth like the floss does. What I found as a con was that it bothered my gums a bit, as I have very sore gums which bleed easy, other than that I would definitely use these again, and recommend them to my friends and family. Kudos to whoever came up with this brilliant invention. I have a great feeling that these will be a big seller world wide.

I was not compensated monetarily for doing this review. I was given a two pack of Bryton Picks for providing my honest opinion regarding this product. I do carry the extra one in my purse for urgent situations. These are my opinions and mine only.

II received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255 Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. Tomoson Product review & giveaway Disclosure.

Sharing Some Great News

Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and people who are very dear to me have been diagnosed with this terrible disease in the past, I just thought I would share some good news. A family member just got a clean bill of health today after undergoing numerous tests including an ultrasound guided biopsy to rule out breast cancer. Getting a clean bill of health from the doctor couldn't have meant more to her, since our grandmother, aunts, and cousins have been affected by breast cancer too. Each year millions of women are affected with this terrible disease. One women is diagnosed every 69 seconds in the U.S. according to the American Cancer Society.

Breast Cancer is the leading cause of death in women ages 34-44. Men can get this disease also. Each month do regular breast exams, do them while your in the shower if it will make it easier for you to remember. If you feel something unusual, and have a concern, then talk with your doctor who might have you undergo some procedures to rule out anything abnormal. Normally when a women reaches 40, she will have her first baseline mammogram, unless you have a history of breast cancer in your family, then you would need this earlier. Do not be afraid! It is nothing to be afraid of! I would rather take 15 minutes out of one day in a year to have a mammogram, then to not have one, and be diagnosed with breast cancer, which happened to a sister in law of mine, and by the time she was diagnosed it was already stage 3, and she had to undergo a rigorous, grueling treatment plan. Happy to say that it's been about 6 years, and she is cancer free thank god.

If you do not have insurance there is no need to worry. Alot of hospitals have programs where you could get it done free if you have no income, or go by a sliding scale if you have little income. Too many people close to me have been affected by this disease, so please don't take it for granted. DO monthly self checks, have a baseline mammogram at the appropriate age at which your doctor will recommend, and do this yearly when it's time. Check out Susan G. Komen Foundation and the great tips on the website related to breast cancer, and if you have a few spare dollars you could donate to the foundation , and hopefully there will be a cure in the near future. Thanks for stopping by @Sarafan2, and I wish each and every one of you good health and good fortune!

Until next time,

My favorite night of the week DWTS night!

It's here, that is my favorite night of the week, and my favorite show too, Dancing With The Stars on ABC at 8p.m. So, who is your favorite, or do you have one? I have a couple this year, but who I'd like to see win this season would be Tony Dovolani & Audrina Patridge. Tony has been on many seasons, I think just about everyone thus far, and has made it to the finals, but didn't win. He has a good partner this season, and they were the first couple to score a 9 on DWTS last week, so hopefully they will grab the first 10 too.

Another favorite of mine this season is Lacey Schwimmer & Kyle Massey. This is Lacey's third or fourth season on DWTS, and has yet to win herself, even though the season when she was paired up with Lance, I thought might be her year. Kyle brings so much to the dance floor , and people just love him. He always seems to get a standing ovation each week, and he has an awesome teacher. Lacey will be strict with him when needed. I hope they make it to the finals. That would be so awesome. Anna & Kurt Warner are heating up the dance floor too. I can't wait to see him do the jive, the lindy hop, and the group dance, as I know he will be in the finals. As long as they get past week six, then they will be in the group dance. He is one perfect dancer, and has the best teacher. I don't know if I could teach someone that gorgeous, and look him in the face at the same time.lol. We will see very shortly. Let me know who you like, or what you think of the show, and the hosts and judges this year?

Dancing With The Stars Week 3

Week 3 on Dancing With The Stars has come and gone, I was interrupted with phone calls during the show, so I did miss a bit here and there. My friends and family know my rule, don't call on Monday between 8p.m. -10:00p.m., unless it's urgent.lol.Dancing With The Stars is really heating up,and the talent is really starting to come out.

Each week I'm really surprised to see the dance that Florence(Mrs. Brady)& Corky do. She's a 76 year old lady, and she knows how to shake what her momma gave her.Of course when she dedicated her dance to her late husband, well, that brought tears to my eyes. I hope to see Corky & Florence around for weeks to come. Corky is a talented dancer, who taught Mark Ballas, and Derek Hough how to dance.I love Corky!

Karina and The Situation are really stepping it up. The first two weeks I didn't see much from him, but this past dance, he has really stepped up his game. I love the way Karina choreographed that dance. It was so awesome watching them dance to the theme into the future. Anyone that can bend over like Karina, in the pic on the left, what can't she do? I hope they stay in the competition for awhile. I don't see them winning.

Lastly, the couple who went home on week 3 was Margaret Cho & Loius VanAmstel. I really liked them two being paired up. On week one, I wasn't too thrilled with their dance, but the first time, what do you expect? Week 2, Margaret came out and shook her booty , and her scores had improved. I couldn't believe how much improvement she had compared to week 1. Her last dance was just alright, and the voters were not there for them. I enjoyed seeing her parents in the audience each week. They were so happy to see her. The smiles on their face was evident.

When Margaret & Louis were eliminated, and brought down to talk with the judges, Margaret was sad to leave. She couldn't hold back her tears, and neither could I! Louis told her that he loved her, and she had s friend for life. How sweet! Maybe next year will be your year Louis. You are a talented dancer, and I would like to see you win, that is after I see Tony Dovolani and Audrina Patridge win, then it will be Maxx's turn. He has danced many seasons, made it to the finals, and then eliminated. His day will come soon. The first 9 was giving to Audrina & Tony. Yeah!!! They deserved it. They came out and danced so well, and it was touching to watch. So, who do you think will get the first 10, will it be Derek & Jennifer, Maxx & Brandy, Tony & Audrina, or Lacey & Kyle? I'm hoping that it's Tony & Audrina. I hope everyone is having a great time watching the show this season. Monday can't get here quick enough for me. Thank you to DWTS for bringing so much enjoyment into my life!!

Until next time,

What I love about Soft Lips is that it is 100% natural products, and boy does it go on smooth. It also has an SPF sunscreen protection in each flavor to protect your lips from the harmful sun rays. Nothing worse than to get sun burn on your lips. Ouch!!

I just had to put this picture in to show everyone how well Soft Lips works! My favorite of all was the Vanilla Berry Lip Butter. Let me tell you how soft and smooth this went on. I was so impressed, and it stayed on for many hours without having to re-apply, like most of the lip care items I used.

Soft Lips carries a big variety of flavors The Coral Charm Lip Tint was another one of my favorites. It went on smooth and left a nice sheer tint, and it was noticeable for a good part of the day. Soft Lips can be purchased at any of your local pharmacies like CVS, Walgreen's, Rite Aid, Walmart, and your local Target. You can also purchase it through their website click here.

With winter coming right around the corner, it would be a good idea to grab yourself a tube or two of Soft Lips. Check out their Pure Line products. They are 100% natural USDA certified 95% organic. The Limited Edition flavors of serene, sweet, rose, pearl, peach mango and coconut lime. The winter mint is a favorite of mine for years now. It has such a yummy taste to it.

Thank you so much to the great folks at Soft Lips for giving me the chance to try your products, and for also giving my readers a chance to win your fantastic products too. All you have to do is tell me what your favorite flavor of Soft Lips is, and if you ever used Soft Lips before? This is Mandatory and must be done first so your other entries will count!
